Kristoffer Akselbo Feat. LEO / 2011
LEO looks like an incestuous offspring of the marketing guru Leo Burnett and one of his most famous creations, Tony the Tiger of Kellogg’s. Apart from that, LEO’s identity is uncertain. Unlike other mascots, LEO does not offer anything or anybody a public or visual identity. LEO will not appear to serve a specific purpose, cause or commercial interest. LEO does not stand for anything. This is LEO’s stand.
At the show Kristoffer Akselbo Feat. LEO at IMO-projects 2011, LEO was the only presence on the premises. It was a 3 weeks long performance, where people could try to interact with LEO. At the same time visiting the show one could scan a code with their mobile device and get access to a LEO movie.
LEO-suit was hand made in USA, same factory as the early creations of TONY THE TIGER.
